How to Get AHEAD of the NEXT Yu-Gi-Oh Format

A lot of players are frustrated with the current Yu-Gi-Oh format, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to learn from it. In this video, I break down how to research a changing format, how to read the information players are giving you through deckbuilding and card choices, and how to use that information to prepare for what comes next. I also look at examples from the last format with Kewltune, Droll, Mulcharmies, pile decks, and the recent Gallant Thief discussion to show how strong players can form ideas before the format is fully solved. The goal isn’t to predict everything perfectly. It’s to get better at taking the information around you, forming a theory, testing it, and adjusting as the format changes. If you’re trying to improve as a competitive Yu-Gi-Oh player, this is a skill that carries over into every format.
