The Evil Within | This Call Went Straight to Hell | Pt.1

The spooky season is approaching and before we get into the other October playthroughs I have planned, I thought we'd dip our toes in the blood with a revisit to The Evil Within! It's not horror games that keep me up at night, but the long list of games I played years ago that didn't get the appreciation they deserved. So here we are, vanquishing one of my personal demons by returning to Beacon Mental Hospital, Sebastian Castellanos, Ruvik, STEM, chainsaws, green gel, and all the survival horror nonsense I barely remembered. Having spent the past few years falling in love with the OG Resident Evil games, Silent Hill series, Fatal Frame franchise, and many more in the genre, I already have a greater appreciation for what this game brought to the table. We're slowing down and soaking it all in this go-around.
