And here we are onto my first of three compilations for 2022. I will admit, this was very much a very fun year for me, and I was able to travel across a bunch of different states thanks to several railfanning trips I took over the first few months of the years and then three trips to my first three MLP fandom conventions over the summer. As such, I got to visit and film crossings in 14 different states, the most I've been able to get in a single year, I believe! In 2022, I was able to go film crossings in Alabama, Tennessee. Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, Illinois, Washington, South Dakota, Montana, Ohio, and Iowa with this being my first time visiting many of those states, or at least my first time visiting them in a long time (such as Florida). Even some of the states I'd been to before, I was able to go and visit areas that I hadn't been to yet, such as down around Mobile here in Alabama and along the Gulf Coast in Mississippi. I also got to make my last visit to the CSX Chattanooga Subdivision in Tennessee before it was upgraded to LED this year. Of particular note was my cross-country road trip to Everfree Northwest in Bellevue, WA, which allowed me to get a bunch of crossings hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away from my home. I even got to record most of the surviving EM signals on the Montana Rail Line, which was quite fun. I also got to film my first Safetran Model 85 gate mech up in Ohio this year on the CSX Columbus Line, along with the US&S Teardrop bell over on the CSX Columbus Subdivision in Marion, OH.
