Huygen's Principle is used to locate the position and find the shape of the new wavefront at a time t with respect to its original position. HUYGENS’ PRINCIPLE : Huygens principle is a geometrical construction which gives the shape of the wave front at any time if we know its shape at t = 0. Statement : Each point of the wave front is the source of a secondary disturbance and the wavelets emanating from these points spread out in all directions with the speed of the wave.
