Some people still imagine Vietnam as a country filled with crowded motorbikes, old buses, traffic jams, pollution, and outdated transportation. But is that really what Vietnam looks like today? In this video, I’ll show you another side of Life in Saigon.
Starting from Ben Thanh Station, I take Metro Line 1 to Thao Dien. We’ll experience the modern station, buy a ticket, ride the train, and enjoy views of the city from above. It’s a very different perspective on Life in Saigon compared with the chaotic traffic on the streets below.
After arriving at Thao Dien, we’ll explore the neighborhood and see the everyday Life in Saigon, from local food stalls and street drinks to ride-hailing drivers and small cargo vehicles.
Saigon still has heavy traffic and crowded streets, but modern buildings and new public transportation are changing the city quickly. This contrast between old and new is what makes Life in Saigon so interesting.
So, is Vietnam really as backward as some people say? Join me on this journey and discover the real Life in Saigon for yourself.
