Under the Influence (1986)

This award winning CBS network TV movie about children of alcoholic parents features a powerhouse performance by Andy Griffith and an early role for Keanu Reeves and comedian Paul Provenza. It has been unavailable for a long time, and is posted here so that its insightful content might be available to those who have suffered from alcoholism. It is wonderful to discover that this movie has had such a positive impact on so many people, and that, despite the dated hair and wardrobe, the story still resonates with modern audiences. This film was produced by Vanessa Greene, my late mother, and was among her first projects. During her long battle with cancer, she asked for me to upload this VHS copy, because she was so moved by the response from the community regarding the film's lasting value, and hoped to keep it available for as long as possible.
