Duckweed: Free Chicken Food - Just Add Water (and Fish)

Creating relatively closed cycles cuts down on waste, reduces costs, and enhances self-sufficiency. Egg-laying chickens are a great way to obtain humane, free range chickens but requires inputs like chicken feed. However, if you keep fish outdoors like we do here in Thailand, you can grow an aquatic plant called "duckweed" that can be used to reduce the amount of store-bought feed.
