GMAM 4128 climbs Montagu Pass solo with heavy passenger train - March 2002

We start with mighty Garratt GMAM 4128 arriving at George hauling the heavy Union Limited tour train solo. Whilst she takes water and coal at George, we set up on the spectacular Montagu Pass to watch the surefooted Garratt climb the steep grades. We then move on to Camfer to see the Garratt arrive and service, before setting off again towards Oudtshoorn.
