James McMurtry's Lost In The Backyard from his 1995 album Where'd You Hide The Body.. I had a recoding of this album on tape which my dad gave me, and I listened to it a lot while driving all over the place in my youth, as you do, well at least I did : ) I think its ok to say he's not hugely known, especially in this neck of the wood's, he's been criticised for not playing enough notes on a solo.. I hear a great songwriter and performer who plays tastefully and sympathetically.. just what's needed.. some great hooks and a great vibe on the album.. This is one of my favourites, back on that freezing cold winter forest camp at the start of January.. Good times but bloody cold fingers!
