Your Cursor Is Lying To You.

You've moved your cursor across a screen more times than you've done almost anything else in your life. And it's not shaped the way you think it is. Look closely, and the arrow isn't symmetrical. One edge is perfectly straight. The other is cut at an angle — a small, deliberate asymmetry that's been sitting on every screen you've ever owned, completely unquestioned. Someone made that call on purpose, for a reason that made total sense — for about a decade. Then the reason disappeared completely, and nobody ever went back to fix it. This one has a name attached to it. A very well-known one.
