I spent just over $100 giving my van a completely new look — but the experiment taught me something much bigger about designing a tiny space. I wanted to create a van interior that could feel warm and cozy in winter, but still light, airy and changeable in summer. The makeover looked great in the AI inspiration images… but once everything was actually in the van, I realized something wasn't working. That led me down a much bigger design rabbit hole: how do you create furniture that can become the stage for completely different looks?
