Projectile speed is doubled which makes hiting targets quite easy even at longer distances. Increased range unlocks new posibilities for ricochet, being able keep your distance and play safe while disrupting aim of enemies with high rate of fire, occasional crits which deal full damage are nice bonus. Good synergies - Viking due to OD, Hopper - mobility and stability and possibly even Hornet/Dictator due to their ODs - using crits to your advantage at longer distances.
