Colorado State FIRED Their Defensive Coordinator MID-GAME 😳

Colorado State had seen enough. During a 56-26 loss to Oregon State, head coach Jim Mora removed defensive coordinator Tyson Summers from play-calling duties during the first half. Summers then left the sideline and was no longer with the program after the game. The timing made the entire situation explode because Colorado State had already allowed 59 points the previous week, then followed that up by giving up 56 more. Oregon State finished with 639 total yards, averaged 9.0 yards per play, and quarterback Braden Atkinson completed 30 of 34 passes with five touchdowns. Some people think Mora embarrassed Summers by making the change during the game. Others think the defense had been bad enough that something had to change immediately. Either way, seeing a defensive coordinator lose his play-calling duties before halftime is one of the wildest coaching stories of the college football season. #CollegeFootball #ColoradoState #CSURams #JimMora #TysonSummers #OregonState #Pac12 #CFB #Football #CollegeFootballNews
