Baby Elephant Seals: Too FAT to Function

Northern Elephant Seal pups only get ~23 days of nursing before their moms leave, and then they are on their own. Those first 3 weeks are mostly consumed with nursing to increase their weight from 25kg-130kg (50lbs - 300lbs); but as they get larger and more developed, they start to explore their surroundings. The results are hilarious.
