Kotlin, known for reducing boilerplate code and enabling clean, readable solutions, is an ideal foundation for integrating AI into modern development practices. KotlinLLM is a research project with an aim to discover what kind of features can LLMs power in the programming language. We share our results by showing the usecases, advantages and limits of our approach. The focus is on a feature called – an inline function that expands into an automated object parser. This parser generates logic for parsing during the application's runtime. This way, the LLM has access to the exact values we're parsing, making this approach more flexible and robust that when using regular LLMs.
