Images (1972) – The Film That Literally Disappeared for 15 Years

Picture this: a director makes a film where the actress reads her own book out loud, every character is named after the actor playing them, and the main character slowly loses her mind right in front of the audience — and nobody ever fully figures out what was real and what was a hallucination. Now picture this: a few years later, the studio that released the film accidentally destroys the only negative, and the movie literally vanishes from cinema history for fifteen years. That's not the plot of some horror flick. That's the real fate of the film we're talking about today. In this video, we break down one of the strangest, most underrated, and at the same time most scandalous works in the career of cult director Robert Altman — the psychological horror Images, made in 1972. #Images1972 #RobertAltman #SusannahYork #JohnWilliams #VilmosZsigmond #CultFilm #LostFilm #PsychologicalHorror #FilmHistory #JustSneak #BehindTheScenes #DeepDiveCinema #ArrowFilms #Cannes #70sHorror
