Homebody Week: A Documentary Opportunity Fell In My Lap

Another slower week at home, but this one came with a real surprise. Between content batching, playing around with my new camera, and randomly getting sick out of nowhere for a day, I had a discovery call with an old friend about potentially joining a documentary she's creating on love and relationships in the black queer community, specifically what life looks like after the labels, after pride, beyond the surface conversations most media doesn't touch. It turned into one of those unexpected full-circle moments where past experience, creative background, and timing all lined up. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the conversation alone reminded me how much I miss being hands-on in film and documentary work. This is a real, unfiltered look at a quiet week that ended up holding a lot more than I expected. 📱 CONNECT WITH ME: Instagram: artisdesjardins TikTok: artisdsjardins UGC & Brand Partnerships: partnerships@artisdesjardins.com
