"Guantanamo Diary Revisited": Q&A with Mohamedou Ould Slahi, Andy Worthington and John Goetz

Video of the Q&A, on April 23, 2022, that followed an online screening of "Guantanamo Diary Revisited", a documentary film, directed by John Goetz, whose distributor in the US and Canada is Studio Libre Studios. The film is available on DVD and via a number of streaming services. https://guantanamorevisitedfilm.com   / guantanamodiaryrevisited   The film follows former Guantanamo prisoner Mohamedou Ould Slahi (aka Salahi), who was held at the prison for 14 years, and subjected to torture, in the mistaken belief that he was involved in terrorism, as, with the help of Goetz, an investigative journalist, he tracks down some of those responsible for his torture. Mohamedou’s intention is to invite them to tea, and to let them know that he has forgiven everyone responsible for his torture, and he meets with a variety of responses, ranging from guilt to denial, which makes for a very powerful documentary.
