Depois da separação pacífica com a Eslováquia, a cidade passou a ser a capital da República Tcheca e manteve seu importante papel como centro político, cultural e histórico da região. O Rio Moldava divide a cidade. De um lado, onde ficamos hospedados, a Cidade Velha e a Cidade Nova. Do outro lado, Malá Strana, que significa Cidade Pequena, com o belo e imponente Castelo de Praga. For much of the 20th century, Prague was the capital of the former Czechoslovakia, a country that existed until 1993. After the peaceful separation from Slovakia, the city became the capital of the Czech Republic and retained its important role as the region’s political, cultural and historical centre. The Vltava River divides the city. On one side, where we stayed, lie the Old Town and the New Town. On the other side is Malá Strana, meaning ‘Lesser Town’, with the beautiful and imposing Prague Castle. In this video, we explore the city’s rich cultural life.
