Mrs Tweedy’s chicken-pie plan in Chicken Run has one rather serious flaw: it uses up the very chickens producing her income. So I counted chickens, analysed Mrs Tweedy’s egg-yield graph, inspected the farm’s housing capacity and wandered around supermarkets photographing eggs, quiches and chicken pies—all to answer one vitally important question: Should Mrs Tweedy have made quiche instead? This is a completely serious investigation into the economics of Tweedy’s Farm. Well… serious-ish. What film, programme or completely unnecessary question should I investigate next?
