This weeks live mix features the sounds of KAMPAI! Kampai is the solo project of Bengaluru-based DJ, curator, and entrepreneur Rumit Virmani. Global Sounds, UK Garage, House, Baile Funk, Dubstep, Drum & Bass — he moves between them without asking permission, welding rare edits and unreleased dubs into sets that run hot and don't sit still. The through-line is groove: everything serves the floor. A Mixmag Lab session put him on the map early. The Boiler Room that followed went further than anyone planned — one of the most-watched to come out of India — and it moved him permanently into the tier of Indian selectors who share bills with the international acts passing through rather than opening for them. He's toured across Australia, UK, Europe, South East Asia, the UAE, Nepal, and remains a fixture at India's major festivals, showcases, and the afterparties that actually matter. Off the decks, Kampai founded Body Language, his own club night, and the clearest statement of the sound he's spent years building. He co-founded SoMAD Fest, the events and media company built around Music, Art, and Dance, and has spent a decade curating and programming rooms for national and international artists — helping define what Indian nightlife looks like next.
