Fiat X1/9 driven 1

Took the X1/9 out for a drive, to test current performance status and camera settings - also to take a few photos. Power at high rpm improved after inceasing the fuel pressure to DCNF specifications. Still issue of overheating the twin carbs. Even a standard X1/9 carb has a cold air feed. This one, generating way more heat, does not. At least not yet. Reckon lose 30% power due to it breathing very hot not cold air. And the harder you drive it, the higher the heat and the greater the loss of power. Frustrating but fixable. The better flowing side scoops (see my side scoop video for details) help a little. Avoided taking it above 8,000rpm, mostly, as want fresh oil in the engine first. Hard to judge speed/corning by just watching the video - get a better idea by watching the rear view, to see how much ground is being covered. Many modern cars are as fast or faster in a straight line. Very few can match the corning or handling. At no point in this video was it any where near the limit.
