Fix the Franchise: New York Mets

The 2026 New York Mets had the second-highest payroll in MLB, the richest owner in baseball, and a last-place finish in the NL East. In this episode of Fix the Franchise, I get into the $5 million each win cost, the $4 tickets in New York City, and a rookie who did something no Met had ever done... and I pitch Steve Cohen a fix straight out of Wall Street. Every sports fan has watched their team fall apart and thought: I could fix this. I’m saying it out loud. Each week I pick one professional or collegiate franchise, pull the receipts, and grade what’s working, what’s broken, and what they can do to fix it.
