To celebrate 70 years of Land Rover in 2018, the ultimate classic defender was created, demonstrating how well a classic design could work alongside modern luxuries and performance. The 90 Works V8 70th Editions were originally a Defender 90 XS, which were sent back to the Land Rover factory and given a complete makeover. Stripped from the ground up, the 90 XS would be fitted with an automatic gearbox from the Range Rover Sport, a refined 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 engine, updated infotainment system and more. Included in the overhaul was the interior, which received a full leather re-trim, covering everything from the dashboard to the headlining. Leather RECARO sports seats were also added in the making of the 70th Edition, making the interior a more comfortable, sporty place to be.
