An introductory overview of Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy(FLIM). This video was made as a part of the ELEC 571-Imaging at the Nanoscale course by Prof. Kevin F. Kelly at Rice University. Please change your viewing angle, to better notice the fluorescence! PMT: Photomultiplier Tube SPAD: Single Photon Avalanche Diode Both the above are detectors to count photons emitted from the sample. Typically FLIM uses PMT and SPAD is used for Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy(FCS) References: 1)Principles of Fluorescence Spectroscopy-J.R Lakowicz 2)http://www.picoquant.com/applications... 3)http://www.olympusfluoview.com/applic... 4)http://www.nature.com/ncomms/journal/... 5)   • Microscopy: Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging ...   6)Wikipedia ofcourse ;) A huge shout-out to Sishan Chen, without whom this video would never have been possible!
