ALLELUIA: ASSUMPTA EST MARIA IN CAELUM (GREGORIAN CHANT) - THE CATHEDRAL CHILDREN'S CHOIR, SINGAPORE

Chanted by the Cathedral Children's Choir and the Cathedral Choir of Saint Gregory the Great on the anticipated Mass of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, Singapore, 14 August 2023. This beautiful chant exhibits a magnificent jubilus - the melismatic notes that run from the last syllable of the "Alleluia". Latin text: Alleluia. Assumpta est Maria in coelum: gaudet exercitus Angelorum. Alleluia. English translation: Alleluia. Mary is taken up into heaven, the angelic host rejoices. Alleluia.
