Yesterday, When I Was Young (Heir Encore) – Charles Aznavour | Cover by Bernai Velarde

Yesterday, When I Was Young (Heir Encore) A timeless song about youth, memories, dreams, love, and the passage of time. Originally written and recorded by the legendary French singer and songwriter Charles Aznavour as “Hier encore” in 1964, the song was later adapted into English by Herbert Kretzmer as “Yesterday, When I Was Young.” It became particularly well known through recordings by Aznavour and Roy Clark. This is a song that becomes even more meaningful with the passing of the years. It reminds us of the dreams we once had, the experiences we lived, and how quickly time seems to disappear. I hope this performance brings back some beautiful memories and perhaps makes you stop for a moment and remember yesterday, when you were young. 🎵 Song: Yesterday, When I Was Young ✍️ Music: Charles Aznavour / Georges Garvarentz 📝 English lyrics: Herbert Kretzmer 🎤 Originally performed by: Charles Aznavour 📅 Original French version: 1964 Thank you for listening, and I hope you enjoy this personal interpretation of a truly timeless song.
