Because Store Beach is completely cut off from mainland roads and walking tracks, this specific rock-hopping route serves as the only way out on foot. It requires navigating an uneven, slippery, and sharp sandstone coastline. 🥾Step by Step: 🪨As you move further along, the flat shelves give way to large, uneven sandstone boulders. You will need to use your hands for balance to climb over and between these rocks. Test each footing before committing you weight, as some rocks can wobble. 🪨Keep as close to the waters edge as safely as possible where the rock platforms are flatter, but look out for dark green algae, which is incredibly slippery.
