Sunshine Returns to Lake Ashi | A Slow Camper Trailer Journey in Hakone

After three weeks of rain, the sunshine finally returns. We take our camper trailer to Lake Ashi in Hakone, Japan, and enjoy a slow, peaceful escape surrounded by nature. From the gentle waves of the lake and the sightseeing pirate ship to sunlight filtering through the trees, this journey is filled with small moments worth savoring. We capture the sound of the waves with a stereo microphone, watch carp swimming close to the shore, and spot adorable ducks feeding on aquatic plants. With the sun finally out, we recharge our solar panels, enjoy yakitori and a cold beer inside our camper, and stop by a lakeside convenience store — a little adventure when you're traveling with a trailer. For dinner, we stumble upon a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant nearby, serving delicious and wholesome food. We also take a quiet moment to admire moss-covered stone lanterns at a small shrine by the lake. No rush. No big plans. Just the simple pleasure of traveling, listening, and enjoying the moment.
