PSALMS — “FROM THE ABYSS TO THE MORNING” PART I — THE ABYSS Heavy Metal — crushing riffs, thunderous double-kick drums, screaming guitars [INTRO — WHISPERED] From the depths I cry... Do You hear me? From the bottom of the darkness, I call Your name. [VERSE 1] The waters rise above my head, The night is closing in, My enemies surround me, And I’m drowning in my sin. My heart is torn and trembling, My soul has lost its way, I scream into the heavens— “God, where are You today?” [PRE-CHORUS] But somewhere underneath the thunder, A voice refuses to die... [CHORUS] *FROM THE ABYSS TO THE MORNING!* I will cry, I will fight, I will carry on! *THROUGH THE DARKNESS, THROUGH THE WARNING!* Even when the night says hope is gone! My God, my rock, my fortress— When everything is falling, I will lift my eyes again— *FROM THE ABYSS TO THE MORNING!* [VERSE 2] The wicked build their kingdoms, The innocent bear the scars, The righteous walk through fire, Still reaching for the stars. How long, Lord? How long must I wait? How long will the darkness Stand laughing at the gate? [BREAKDOWN] *I WILL NOT BE SILENT!* *I WILL NOT TURN AWAY!* Though my soul is shattered, I will seek You anyway! [GUITAR SOLO] The riff collapses into a slow, bluesy groove... --- PART II — THE SONG IN THE STORM Classic Rock — 60s/70s groove, Hammond organ, blues guitar, warm vocals [VERSE 1] I have walked through the valley, I have slept beneath the rain, But You were there beside me When I couldn't bear the pain. You set a table before me While the shadows gathered near, And somehow in the silence, I discovered You were here. [CHORUS] *You are my shepherd, I shall not fear,* Though the valley grows darker, I know You are near. **You restore my soul, You lead me home,** And even in the wilderness, I know I'm not alone. [VERSE 2] The heavens tell Your glory, The mountains speak Your name, The rivers keep on running, And nothing stays the same. A thousand years are like a moment, A lifetime like a breath, So teach me how to number Every day that I have left. [BRIDGE] Let the broken sing! Let the weary rise! Let every living creature Lift its voice into the sky! Praise Him in the morning! Praise Him through the night! When the world is shaking— *Hold on to the light!* [GUITAR SOLO] Slow bends and soaring notes, building toward a final crescendo. --- PART III — MORNING Indie Rock — atmospheric guitars, steady drums, intimate vocals [VERSE 1] The night is not forever, The darkness has an end. I thought I walked alone, But You were there again. The tears that filled my pillow Have dried beneath the sun, And the road that looked like nowhere Has become the road I'm on. [CHORUS] *Morning is coming,* I can feel it in the air. *Morning is coming,* After every unanswered prayer. I have been broken, I have been afraid, But the heart that cried in darkness Is still beating today. [VERSE 2] So I will sing a new song, Not because I've never cried, But because I found a reason To keep walking through the night. Let everything that breathes now Lift its voice and testify: There is mercy in the morning, There is beauty in the sky. [FINAL CHORUS] *FROM THE ABYSS TO THE MORNING!* From the ashes, from the pain, Through the thunder and the silence, I have learned to sing again. *FROM THE ABYSS TO THE MORNING!* Every tear becomes a song. Though the night may feel eternal, *The morning comes along.* [OUTRO — QUIET] Be still... And know. The night is passing. The dawn is breaking. And I will sing.
