This lecture examines body language as a powerful form of non-verbal communication through the Indian Knowledge System. It draws upon the Mahabharata and the concept of Deha-Bhasha to explore how physical presence can be consciously adapted to different social and professional situations. The lecture uncovers the communicative significance of Hasta-Mudra, Drishti-Bheda, Mukha-Raga, and Greeva-Bheda, demonstrating how hands, eyes, facial expressions, and head movements shape interpersonal communication. It explores Gati-Samanvaya, shoulder alignment, foot placement, and grounded posture to understand how movement contributes to confidence and authority. The discussion highlights Kshobha-Varjana and Sthirata, showing how stillness and control can communicate composure more effectively than excessive movement or fidgeting. It further demonstrates the importance of integrating gaze, gesture, posture, breath, movement, and stillness into a coherent physical presence. The lecture ultimately presents body language as an embodied form of communication that can strengthen authenticity, confidence, and professional effectiveness.
