Text into Binary and ASCII (AP Computer Science Principles Unit 1: Digital Information)

Over the last several videos, we've learned how to make numbers into binary. If we could come up with some kind of code that could turn letters into numbers, we could then convert those numbers to binary and transmit them via computer. One of the tools we use to do just that is ASCII. Note that you're unlikely to do a lot of this kind of translation by hand, but it's good to know the most basic foundation of coding, and it will almost certainly be on the AP test!
