Pro Elevatione sexti toni in Tremo - Fr Wolfgang Schwabpaur [Johannus LiVE III AGO]

This piece was composed by Fr Wolfgang Schwabpaur OFM Conv (1659-1749), with this edition being prepared by Maurizio Machella, who kindly makes many of his editions freely available on the internet, including this one. The whole performance is played on just two stp[s, demonstrating both that it can be played on the simplest of instruments but also that registration changes are not needed when the stops are as beautiful as this! It was recorded on my Johannus AGO Live III on the sample of the Silbermann organ in the Katholische Hofkirche Dresden. Samples have four positions, Console, Front, Centre, or Rear of church. This was recorded using the Rear sample. Steven Maxson is well known as an organist, conductor, composer, and arranger.
