We Found the Crappie! Spring Fishing Lake Marion, SC - Cathead Landing 2026

First time launching out of Cathead Landing on Lake Marion, and it turned into a great day of spring fishing! 🎣 I started the day targeting largemouth bass, but after having no luck, I switched things up and the crappie were on fire!! I caught several crappie on the A-rig, then started picking them off pillings and underwater structure. Sometimes the fish you weren’t planning on catching end up making the trip! It was a fun day exploring a new landing, figuring out where the fish were holding, and putting enough crappie in the cooler for a good dinner!
