Mizkif Said Asmongold Defamed Him. Then the Court Looked at What He Actually Said.
In October 2025, streamer better known as Mizkif, filed a federal lawsuit naming Emiru, Asmongold, and several companies connected to OTK.
The defamation claim against Asmongold centered on statements he made while reacting to Mizkif's public response to allegations made by Emiru.
Mizkif's amended complaint identified specific statements and timestamps from the stream. But when Asmongold asked the court to dismiss the claim, his lawyers argued that those excerpts left out something essential: context.
That created a surprisingly basic question — what did Asmongold actually say, and how much of the surrounding video could the court consider?
In Case File 005 of The Paper Trail, we follow the public court record through the amended complaint, Asmongold's motion to dismiss, Mizkif's response, Asmongold's reply, and the court's Report and Recommendation.
