I’m a STEM teacher with ADHD who decided it would be a perfectly reasonable idea to start designing and 3D printing wearable horror masks. Welcome to ADHD Prototypes. In this video, I’m showing off my first finished mask, explaining why I chose flexible TPU instead of traditional rigid filament, and walking through the cleanup process after a TPU print comes off the printer. I’m also introducing Slipknightmares, my series of Slipknot × horror-inspired mask concepts. Yes, AI is part of my design process. Some concepts take a couple of prompts. Others involve me arguing with and abusing my AI for a week until it finally understands what I’m asking for. 😂 AI helps me visualize ideas and develop the initial exterior geometry faster, but that’s only the starting point. Turning those concepts into functional, printable, wearable masks still takes days of modeling, reshaping, testing, printing, fitting, and finishing. Want to make one yourself?
