Capitol Quick Tip “Wrapping Halligans)

*Capitol Quick Tip* Halligan Wraps : One of the aged old questions and often points of contention…Do you wrap the Halligan or not? : If the shoulders on your halligan have been modified so that the members can use them in tight spaces, it’s pointless to wrap the halligan. The wrapping makes it hard to drive your striking tool down the shaft of the halligan to the shoulders. When this tactic is being performed you want to have a clean/smooth surface to make that happen. If your shoulders aren’t square, that tactic is not something that your department does, or practice or may never do, then the wrapping is fine. : Often times we find that people have their halligans modified in a pro active approach to be able to perform not realizing they’re also limiting their ability to perform. : #capitolfiretraining #capitolfire #cft #capitolquicktip #cftquicktips #halligans #halliganbar #forcibleentry #forcibleentrytools #forcibileentrytraining #forcibleentrytactics
