Coming Home • Hang the Lights, It's Christmas Eve │ Joyful Christmas Folk

An original Christmas folk song for everyone gathering around the tree tonight — Hang the Lights, It's Christmas Eve, from the Coming Home series. From my small studio corner in Vietnam, December evenings don't bring heavy snowdrifts or frost on the windowpanes, but the universal longing for family and warmth remains the same everywhere in the world. When writing 'Hang the Lights, It's Christmas Eve,' I wanted to capture that exact, sacred threshold of dusk on December 24th—the moment when travelers finally take off their heavy coats, the kettle whistles with hot spiced cider, and the whole house fills with laughter as the very first string of lights is untangled. Combining the lively rhythm of Celtic fiddle tunes with rustic acoustic guitars was my way of honoring the timeless holiday traditions I have always admired from afar. Bringing this song to life took weeks of shaping every fiddle bounce and wooden foot stomp to feel like a living room full of grandparents, parents, and children celebrating together. I hope this song brings a spark of fireside warmth and peace to your home this holiday season, wherever you are listening across the world. "Hang the lights, it’s Christmas Eve, let the music play Wrap your arms around the ones who traveled all the way Pass the cider, share the loaf, let every sorrow cease Merry Christmas to our home and to the world be peace" 🎬 How This Was Made: Visuals created with Midjourney & Veo; recording rendered with Suno.
