We took taxi from airport to Monesteraki which cost 50 Euros. Bus service also available which runs between airport to Athens city center & cost 5 euro per person. Don't forget to validate the bus tickets inside the bus. You can take metro from airport to Monesteraki metro station cost 3 euros per person. Day -2 Athens local sightseeing Acropolice ( Entry fee 20 euro per person) i recommend to visit early morning to avoid over crowd. Acropolis museum ( Entry fee 10 euro per person) just walking distance from Acropolis Parthenon. Ancient Agora (Entry fee 10 Euros) Syntagma Square ... Open place for all You can spend quality time at Monesteraki area and Plaka area in the evening for leisure.. Best place to stay around Syntegma square and Plaka area. Hotel price starts from 100 euros as per the seasons... Athens city is well connected by Metro if you are a budget traveler then you can avail metro also ticket price starts from 1.50 euro. Bus and Taxis are also available but Taxi is very expensive. There are lost of different Restaurant everywhere in Athens.
