The correct first day to submit is May 27th, 2021. I hope this brief tutorial is helpful to anyone applying to medical school right now, or anyone applying in the future who is curious what the actual medical school application looks like. Clarification at the end: Yes, you can submit your application before you submit your official transcript, but the AAMC needs your official transcript before they can start verifying your application and send it off to school. I think I misspoke and said "schools" instead of AAMC--just being specific. Additional thing I should have shown: If you answer "yes" to disadvantaged status (I answered "no" in the video), then you get 1325 characters to "explain why you believe you should be considered a disadvantaged applicant by your designated medical schools." 0:00 Introduction 0:21 A Bit About Me 1:01 Accessing AMCAS 1:32 Starting the Application 1:39 Identifying Information 2:12 Schools Attended 4:03 Biographic Information 6:19 Course Work 7:40 Work/Activities 8:47 Letters of Evaluation 10:06 Medical Schools 11:42 Essays 12:01 Standardized Tests 12:50 Submitting the Application 13:31 Conclusion Note: For those that are new here, I'm not a doctor (yet).
