Born in the 1950's, a time when intellectual disability was not understood, Stuart presented as a mystery. No-one knew how to help him. He was institutionalized, enduring years of mistreatment and loneliness. Finally diagnosed with Fragile X, a genetic abnormality of the X chromosome, he now has a completely different quality of life. This is Stuart's story.
