Welcome to Episode 6 (Part 1) of our podcast! 🎙️⚽ 🤯Manchester City’s long running financial case has reached a major stage, with an independent Premier League Commission finding the club guilty of all charges relating to serious financial rule breaches covering nine seasons, from 2009/10 to 2017/18. 👀The findings included misstated financial accounts, undisclosed or misleading commercial arrangements, breaches of Premier League and UEFA spending limits, and failures to fully cooperate with the Premier League’s investigation. 💰The Commission said the arrangements artificially inflated revenues and reduced reported costs by more than £900 million. City has the right to appeal the findings, while the question of what sporting or financial sanctions should follow will be decided separately.
