Bits of 1996 New York Labor Day weekend Carnival

This recording starts with Phase II Pan Groove up from Trinidad to perform at Columbia University, sponsored by the Daily News. Then video of two bands at the WIADCA Panorama, Moods Pan Groove and Silhouettes. Then the announcing of the results of the Panorama, possibly incomplete. Finally some of the mas on the Parkway, shot from a friend's fourth floor apartment window. I was up on the side of the stage when recording Moods. I had borrowed a "smoke machine" from my employer, ABC TV and was responsible for connecting it for Moods and turning it on and off. It was a good year for Moods, they came in second playing "Moving".
