Especially when you live in a city where you can buy everything in the supermarkets. Because they come here every week they learn how to much care and time they need to give to the vegetables. And at the end of the lessons they get to harvest small carrots. They learn the value of their food The work involved and the care they need.” “Pretty endive Pretty, pretty endive!” “Look - Perhaps you recognize this” “Radishes?” “You can pick them.” “Yes, are they radishes?” “Yeeees!” “Wow!” “What?!” “Wow!” “Look, it’s a whole meal. “I like it best when we can harvest. Then we have things to eat.” “Then you know it has all worked out. And that you can eat them. I am so pleased it worked out” “In the shops they have been sprayed and here we don’t use chemical stuff.” “Nearly all kids are excited, some need to overcome their fear… Of snails for instance, or ants… Or prickly plants.” “What I often hear from parents and teachers is that at home they don’t eat salads. But then they take lettuce home and next time tell me: “Oh, that was the best salad I ever had.” Because they cared for it and helped it grow They will then also eat it.” “I really love… Food!” “Last week I had many radishes I ate them at home with my family. They were so yummy!” “Today I will make hamburgers with salad.” “Yeah, that’s a good idea!” “Well, I’m going to eat some radishes.” “I have learned here that you need to take good care of your plants. Otherwise they die.” “It is also nice when you get back from holiday, then you see how much the plants have grown.” “I really like it because now I know how to start my own vegetable garden.” Share if you agree this type of education is important. ----- Visit BrightVibes.com for more contagiously inspiring stories http://brightvibes.com Other ways to connect with us… FACEBOOK:   / brightvibes   TWITTER:   / brightvibes_com   INSTAGRAM:   / brightvibesmedia
