This is an interesting find on the National Archives site. It appears to be documenting the opening of a WPA "Federal Recreation Center" in Sylacauga Alabama around 1941 (provenance pieced together from clues in the film), and the local white kids are celebrating by dancing to the juke box. It's interesting to see swing dancing so far from the usual large urban centers. It's also a snapshot of how ordinary kids, as opposed to slick Hollywood dancers might do it. The original was silent and the dance scenes weren't contiguous. The music I added is Erskine Hawkins' Tuxedo Junction ("Way down in Alabam")
