The Power of Guru's Mercy || A conversation with Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaj | New York

Date: 24.05.1993 Location: New York This is a deeply illuminating and heart-touching conversation between Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja and His Holiness Dhanurdhara Swami Maharaja. 🙏 The profound discussion on viraha—the highest platform of divine love, the mercy of sādhu and śāstra, the transcendental position of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, and the extraordinary power of guru-kṛpā gives us a glimpse into the depth of genuine Vaiṣṇava realization. One especially striking instruction is that śāstra is not merely a book—it carries kṛpā, mercy. By the mercy of sādhu and śāstra, the conditioned soul can turn toward Kṛṣṇa and ultimately become free from the clutches of māyā. Mahārāja also beautifully reminds us that “kṛpā hi bala”—mercy is our only strength. Without the mercy of Guru and the Vaiṣṇavas, what strength do we really possess? The glorification of Śrīla Prabhupāda as a completely surrendered servant of his Guru, and the discussion of the causeless mercy of the Vaiṣṇavas upon fallen souls, are especially inspiring. The hearts of genuine Vaiṣṇavas ache to deliver suffering conditioned souls. May we humbly hear these words, keep them within our hearts, and pray for the mercy of Guru, Gaurāṅga, Śrīla Prabhupāda, and all the Vaiṣṇavas so that we may develop genuine śraddhā and become fixed in the service of Śrī Kṛṣṇa. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda! All glories to Śrīla Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja! All glories to the Vaiṣṇavas! Hare Kṛṣṇa! 🙏🌺 Telegram ID: https://t.me/GGSEnhanced All Glories to Srila Gurudeva...
