Drake & J. Cole REFUSED the Grammys — And the Receipts Go Back 13 Years

Drake and J. Cole did NOT submit their albums for Grammy consideration — and the "they're just bitter" narrative falls apart the second you look at the timeline. In this video, we run the full receipts: Drake's first Grammy win for Take Care in 2013, the "weird" Hotline Bling moment in 2017, the legendary 2019 "you already won" speech ON the Grammy stage, the Certified Lover Boy withdrawal in 2022, and the Iceman bars spelling out the comeback storyline he refused to play along with. Then we get to J. Cole — two Grammys, a number one album, 800,000 presale tickets, stadiums — walking away from the easiest album of the year campaign he'll ever be offered. Plus: a Grammy winner admits ON CAMERA what it really takes to win… "you kiss so much ass the whole year." Are Drake and J. Cole making a statement about the Recording Academy, or are people reading too much into it? Do the Grammys still matter in Hip Hop? And how would YOU fix the voting process?
