We are cultivating our oilseed radish cover crop back into the soil on Kinlaig to lock in that natural nitrogen boost, drilling in our next major seasonal crop, and trying a new double-growth strategy on the grass field. The Outline: • Cultivating the green manure radish directly into the new field for maximum soil nutrition • Drilling the next seasonal crop into the freshly prepped dirt • Mowing the grass field but leaving the clippings to accumulate for a larger future yield The Question: Have you ever tried leaving your cut grass on the field until the next harvest cycle to increase your overall bale count, or do you prefer to wrap and collect it immediately?
