Accordion in the Bog Garden with Francesco Turrisi

I first met Francesco in 2023 while on tour with Rhiannon Giddens. Between shows, while on the road, we headed out into the bog garden to create this field recording. I know Francesco best for his duo project with Rhiannon Giddens, There Is No Other and their follow-up album, They're Calling Me Home. I also admire his work with the Silk Road Ensemble and his commitment to exploring musical cultures from around the world. I recently travelled to Türkiye where I met a drummer. He had this really cool Iranian drum I had never seen before, but who is playing one on his story a few weeks later? Francesco! That musical bastard! Gotta love him.
