HOW TO CREATE LOZENGE SMOCKING | Fabric Manipulation | Canadian Smocking | Didsbury Art Studio I thought it was about time I tried this lozenge smocking pattern out! I've seen it used so many times. If you are new to smocking this one is another easy one to do it involves using taut and slack stitches. Having said that in this video I layered up some satin with netting to see how it would affect the overall design...let me know your thoughts! I think it really works!😃🫶🏼🙌🏻 MEASUREMENTS of grid design Started with: 24 inches in length ended with: 11 inches once pattern sewn Started with 13 inches in width and ended with 12 inches once pattern sewn. What do you work as? After doing my Textiles degree I did my PGCE teacher training at Goldsmiths, University of London to become an Art and Design Secondary School Teacher. Currently, I work in a hospital teaching art part-time to mainly 16 -18 year olds. In addition, I teach art in my studio on Saturdays and I give textile workshops to schools. I set up this channel in April 2020 after being furloughed during lockdown but soon realised I really enjoyed designing, creating projects, filming and editing my videos....so if you'd like to support me please subscribe! I would love to spend more time making extra videos every week 😍 🔵 SUBSCRIBE for more content like this    / @didsburyartstudio   NEW VIDEOS every TUESDAY and THURSDAY 5PM (GMT) S O C I A L M E D I A 🔹 INSTAGRAM   / didsburyartstudio   🔹TIKTOK   / didsburyartstudio   🔹PINTEREST https://www.pinterest.co.uk/didsburya... 🔹TWITTER   / didsburyartstu1   ♡CONTACT ME: Didsburyartstudio@hotmail.com
